Due to changes in this blog, I had to rework the update site.
Please use http://rse.midrange.com as the Eclipse update site for the RSE plug-in.
Can’t seem to add the repository. Probably because of our firewall. Is there an alternative or should I find the guru here that knows their way around the firewall?
Thanks David, I’ve been wondering about the decorator plug-in since I loaded RDP 8
Can you view the site using a browser? Just navigate to http://rse.midrange.com.
When I clcik on that link, I get back to the blog site.
But you see a page informing you that you’ll be redirected?
If so, then that’s normal.
What error are you getting when you try to add the update site?
I get a message: No repository found at http://rse.midrange.com.
I am using RDP version 18.104.22.168
To install this with RDP you first have to enable the classic update option. This is under Preferences/General/Capabilities. Then click on Help/Software updates/find and install. Then select the “Search for new features to install and add the http://rse.midrange.com as a remote site. Then install and restart RDP.
Trying to install the plugin on the trial version of RDi 22.214.171.124. After setting the ‘classic update option’, I navigate to Help>Check For Updates, and a dialog box displays “No updates found.” And I do have http://rse.midrange.com listed in my Available Software Sites; plus was able to pull up the site in a browser (before being redirected here).
Please see the “RDi 9 & Install Problems” post.
That worked David. Thanks!
